Kerala kasavu cotton sari with Tilla hand embroidery
Description
Tiny pink-and-silver horses winged, inspired by the kuthirai motif of Kanchipuram weaves, traverse the pallu and borders of this simple handwoven Kerala cotton sari with pink kara and thin silver kasavu lines.
Pair our take on the traditional kasavu with a silver blouse and a string of pearls for monochromatic style, or with a jewel-toned blouse and twinkling precious stone jewellery—there's no going wrong with this beauty.
NOTE: This sari is available at a special price of ₹12750 (was ₹16500) because of two tiny black ink markings on the edge of the pallu, left by an artisan in the course of hand-embroidering the sari’s motifs. Please see last photo. These will be hidden when the sari is draped, and we like to think of these tiny marks as little reminders of the human hands working to create beautiful pieces of art, rather than as flaws or imperfections.
Composition & Care
100% cotton
Dry clean only
